The Tampa Bay Chamber grieves with our community and our nation during the unrest triggered by the brutal murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis by a rogue police officer. We will no longer tolerate systemic racism nor senseless killings in our society. Like a cancer, racist practices kill all the good in our community. These recent events have caused us to reexamine our inclusion pillar to not only focus on inclusion inside our organization, but outside as well. Going forward, the Chamber is even more committed to advocate for economic prosperity and equity for all. We are committed to inform and advocate for the eradication of racial profiling and discriminatory practices that have perpetuated unfair treatment of others. We are actively focusing our efforts to heal our community and identifying concrete actions to effectuate transformative change.
