MBA Cohort Spotlights - July 2021

Congratulations to Cohort '19 member, Danny Persaud, MidFlorida Armored & ATM Services, Inc., on being named a finalist for the 2021 Small Business of the Year awards!

The MBA Joint Cohort Luncheon was held at the Tampa Museum of Art. Celebrating the cohorts’ successes, learning about the museum, and community engagement activities the museum has to offer.

Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) discovered eSmart Recycling, Cohort '22, through the Minority Business Accelerator program. Now, the two organizations are partnering to get much-needed technology equipment to areas of need. UMA is an accredited, non-profit education institution with the mission of equipping and empowering learners to excel in healthcare careers. Much of UMA’s work is powered by technology, with nearly 2,000 team members teaching and supporting more than 10,000 students nationwide – most of them online learners. eSmart Recycling is on a mission to recycle old technology from individuals and companies, at the highest compliance standards, and use a portion of the proceeds to fund tech labs for kids without access to computers worldwide. Through eSmart, UMA is donating older equipment – desktops, phones, printers and more – to help in that cause.
