Annual Meeting
The Chamber’s final signature event of the calendar year welcomes a crowd of over 700 to a lunchtime celebration of the year’s achievements, a presentation of the Chamber’s vision for the future and the installation of new leadership. The H.L. Culbreath Award is presented, and past leadership is celebrated as the new leadership team is welcomed. The 2022 Annual Meeting will be a celebration of our 137th year as a Chamber.

Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay Annual Meeting

The Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award is presented, and past leadership is celebrated as the new Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay Leadership Team is welcomed.

For over 40 years, the best-of-the-best small businesses in Tampa Bay are recognized in front of a 500+ person audience at the Chamber’s most spectacular celebration of the year. More than 250 companies vie annually for the chance to take home the coveted title in 5 categories: Startup, 5–20 employees, 21–50 employees, 51–250 employees, and Outstanding Leader of the Year.

Dublin
Join the Tampa Bay Chamber on its inaugural international benchmarking trip to Dublin, Ireland. After Five
This cocktail reception at a member’s place of business allows for relationship building among the top three tiers of membership. The presenting sponsor provides the venue at no cost and offers attendees a minimum of one complimentary beverage and light hors d’oeuvres.

Circle Of Influence
Circle of Influence is an event series offered three times per year exclusively to the Chamber’s top-tier members: Fit 3, Fit 4, and Partner. The program provides them the opportunity to hear from key influencers in the Tampa Bay region. This tri-annual breakfast meeting welcomes an average of 150 guests.

Coffee Connection
Although not exclusive, this event is geared toward organizations that are within their first year of membership. This coffee social is hosted by Chamber Ambassadors and is designed to engage new members and discuss the benefits of Chamber membership. This event is held quarterly at the Chamber office.

Competitive Edge Series
The Competitive Edge series is the premier educational program of the Tampa Bay Chamber. Business and professional development classes offer attendees new skill sets and a practical application for implementation in their own business. A unique class takes place six times each year.

Get Connected
Chamber members grow their circle of contacts through facilitated networking, engaging with up to 49 other Chamber members within one hour. The program is facilitated by Chamber Ambassadors. Members are divided into small groups to speed network with guided topics at each table. Groups change tables and topics every 10 minutes to give them the opportunity to meet everyone in the room by the conclusion of the event. This event is held up to 4 times per year.

Member Orientation
Member Orientation is the first step to getting the most out of a Chamber membership. It includes an overview of the Chamber’s mission followed by overviews of the following areas: events and programs, marketing and communication opportunities, public policy, and taking advantage of member benefits to name a few. This event is held 4 times per year at the Chamber office.

Tampa Bay @ Sunset Series
Time to unplug! Chamber members have some fun at this relaxed evening networking event held at a member’s place of business. This event is held six times per year and is hosted by member organizations that provide interactive experiences and entertainment. Examples of event hosts include: The Florida Aquarium, Busch Gardens, Topgolf, GameTime, and The Zoo at Lowry Park.

Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay Annual Meeting

Annually, February – A pillar of Emerging Leaders, the Mentor-Protégé Program aims to develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships between experienced business leaders and motivated emerging professionals. Protégés will graduate from the program with an action plan to their personal and business success. The Mentor-Protégé Program is a serious commitment of time and energy by all parties.

Nonprofit Board Governance Series
Annually, September – The Nonprofit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay provides Emerging Leaders a 3-part Board Governance Series. Past sessions from the series include: Be a Board Rockstar & Find Your Nonprofit Fit; Nonprofit Financials and Fearless Resource Development; and Emotional Intelligence.

Nonprofit Fair
Annually, October – The Emerging Leaders Nonprofit Fair mirrors a career fair with the goal of connecting nonprofits with individuals searching for volunteer, board positions and fundraising opportunities. For the past seven years, the Nonprofit Volunteer Fair has increased awareness for community service and local nonprofits. The event provides the perfect platform for nonprofits to reach young professionals and other community members who want to make a difference in Tampa Bay.

Vision Series
Several throughout the year – Our Vision Series events were created to address long term, multidimensional issues with the potential to change the trajectory of our business community. During our Vision Series events, you will engage in dialogue with key community stakeholders, create opportunity for future generations, and be exposed to content that will create the headlines of tomorrow.

Collegiate Leadership Tampa Bay
Collegiate Leadership Tampa Bay is an exciting opportunity for approximately 30 college students. Modeled after the Leadership Tampa Program for business and community leaders, the Collegiate Leadership Tampa Bay Program inspires, educates, and engages a diverse group of emerging leaders as they transition from college to career. Collegiate Leadership Tampa Bay is a tuition-based, academic-year-long program (October - April) that prepares a diverse group of student leaders to have a positive impact on their future communities while they learn extensively about what makes Tampa Bay a favored place to live and work. Through experiential learning, students explore careers in the nonprofit, private, public, and philanthropic sectors, while developing leadership competencies for the 21st century. The program provides students with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to develop their professional lives and build a future as engaged Tampa Bay citizens through interactive and collaborative activities.

Leadership Tampa
The nation’s third oldest leadership development program fosters future leaders at the executive level. Leadership Tampa has been introducing its class members to major facets of the greater Tampa community through an intensive nine-month course. Leadership Tampa’s members participate in educational sessions, tours and candid conversations with community leaders. Topics include law enforcement, education, social services, the environment, economic development, the arts and many more.

Leadership Tampa Alumni
Leadership Tampa Alumni extends the Leadership Tampa experience by fostering professional relationships, offering unique educational programs and promoting leadership to grow business and build community. Monthly programs include networking events, educational experiences and guest speakers. Programming includes: Conversations with Influence, quarterly Connect with Coffee, Chair’s Choice, Leadership Tampa Alumni Annual Meeting, Leadership Tampa 2.0 days, and various networking events.

Minority Business Accelerator Program
The Minority Business Accelerator (MBA) is a program of the Tampa Bay Chamber Foundation designed to aide Black and Hispanic businesses prepare for growth. The MBA helps these businesses identify and overcome barriers, which often include limited access to capital, key decision makers, and information. By providing practical tools for change, program participants are positioned to increase capacity, create jobs and build wealth.

Minority Empowerment Program
The Minority Empowerment Program (MEP) is an initiative of the Chamber designed to bring Black and Hispanic owned and led businesses and nonprofits into the community conversation through Chamber membership, resulting in a more inclusive environment and approach toward business growth throughout the region.

Face the Chamber: Mayor’s Breakfast
The Mayor’s annual address to the Chamber takes place at this event. The program includes the popular segment where the mayor is placed on the proverbial hot seat as the moderator asks the tough questions on behalf of the business community. Chamber members join us to hear the mayor’s responses and learn what we as a Chamber can do to help move Tampa Bay forward.

Hob Nob
This premier election event gives voters an opportunity to meet candidates for all elected positions, from Congress to county commission. This biennial gathering is the pinnacle of election seats, drawing crowds of over 50 candidates and 600 constituents. Participants will meet the candidates and will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorites during the Hob Nob straw poll. Results will be announced that evening.

Work Redefined
Quarterly – This program began in 2014 and was positioned as a hub for the partnerships created between our business community and academic institutions. In 2017, in conjunction with the Chamber’s Vision 2026, the committee expanded their focus to include addressing the gaps that exist in workforce development and workforce talent. The mission of the committee is to develop workforce talent, advocate for innovative educational initiatives and inspire meaningful academic and business partnerships.
