Insight Tampa Bay

Insight Tampa Bay is a Leadership Program of the Tampa Bay Chamber Foundation that provides a forum to C-Suite individuals to connect, discuss and explore the issues and concerns that affect business in the Tampa Bay Area. The participants are CEO’s, Presidents or comparable level executives who have been recently promoted or located to the Tampa Bay market. The program runs every other year and is by invitation only.

  • Acquainting participants with Tampa Bay’s history, arts and culture, entertainment.
  • Informing participants about Tampa Bay’s relationship with MacDill Air Force Base and its economic impact on our community.
  • Educating participants on our current transportation and infrastructure.
  • Providing participants information about our local educational system and workforce pipeline.
  • The opportunity to understand our local government systems and economic development opportunities and challenges.
  • The ability to interact with a cross-section of key decision makers and other new executives.

Each session will include refreshments, networking, and presentations hosted by established Tampa Bay leaders on the various topics. Classes are small and limited to 20-25 top-level community leaders, all of whom have lived in Tampa Bay less than two years.

Insight Tampa Bay is part of the Tampa Bay Chamber Foundation.

The next Insight Tampa Bay program will take place in 2022.

Sessions

Sessions

Session 1 – Quality of Life and Places

Participants will be invited to bring a guest to the opening session to meet each other, understand the agenda for the next five months and then receive an overview of Tampa Bay’s history, arts, cultural, entertainment and sports assets and their economic impact on Tampa Bay followed by a cocktail reception.

Session 2 – Military and Community

MacDill AFB will be highlighted with a base tour, debriefs by 6th Air Mobility Wing, 927th Reserve, SOCOM and CENTCOM. The economic impact to Tampa Bay will be addressed as well as special hands on experiences.

Session 3 – Education, Talent Supply and the Workforce

Education Excellence in our region covering public and private K-12 assets, a panel of higher education leaders and the importance of internships and research partnerships between local businesses and our educational partners.

Session 4 – Transportation and Infrastructure

Transportation topics will include a Regional Transportation Overview, the Airport Master Plan and a tour of the Port of Tampa.

Session 5 – Government and Economic Development

Explore our city, county and state government systems as how they support economic development in Tampa Bay.
