  1. Tell us, why LTA?

Leadership Tampa is really the “gold standard” in leadership programs and LTA is just the logical extension of that.  Most of us are extremely busy and have to set certain priorities with our time.  The question should be “why NOT LTA”.

  1. For you, what separates LTA from other business leadership programs?

Many business leadership programs are industry-focused or internally-focused (i.e., designed to address leadership within a business organization).  LT and LTA are outward-facing, focusing on the business community, as a whole, and also on the entire civic community.

  1. Describe a time when the LTA experience impacted your life or career?

I decided to re-engaged in LTA a number of years after graduating from LT.  It was a great decision for me and I had the privilege of chairing the LTA cabinet in 2016. That experience reminded me and made me appreciate even more what really smart, caring people are involved in LTA, and the Chamber, and what a valuable resource they are for me in my business and personal life.

  1. What is a LTA benefit you wish everyone knew about?

Everyone knows about the programs LTA puts on every year but, I think many of us forget how really impactful and fun they can be, and how valuable the recurring, long-term connections we make by attending those events can be.

  1. Describe how the leadership journey will continue to shape you?

We all draw on, and are shaped by, our past experiences, whether consciously or unconsciously.  LT and LTA just becomes a little part of who you are.  And that’s a good thing.
