For over 20 years, the Chamber has taken an annual Benchmarking Visit to investigate new programs and initiatives in a city similar to our community. It gives us a chance to study one of America’s other great cities and adapt its best practices to meet the growing needs of Tampa Bay. Past visits include Baltimore, San Diego, Memphis, Seattle, Boston, Denver, Charlotte, Phoenix, Philadelphia, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Austin, and Toronto.

Registration Pricing

^*Attendees must be active members of Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay at the time of registration to receive the discounted rate.

Registration Includes

• 2 nights hotel accommodation at the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk (Oct. 24 and 25)
• Ground transportation during the program
• All scheduled activities
• All meals except for small group dinners on Monday evening. We will coordinate dinner arrangements, but the expense of the meal is paid by the individual
• Access to the Benchmarking mobile event app, which includes attendee profiles and communication tool, agenda items, networking opportunities, and trip information

Transportation

Attendees are responsible for booking their own flights to and from San Antonio. The Chamber recommends flight options through Southwest Airlines.

Please arrive in San Antonio in time for our Opening Night Welcome Reception which begins on Sun., Oct. 24 at 6:00 p.m.

Please depart after our program concludes on Tue., Oct. 26 at 12:00 p.m. A flight departing no earlier than 2:00 p.m. is recommended.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received on or before July 1, 2021 will be refunded the amount paid, less a $500 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given after July 1, 2021. Reservations are transferable.

Liability Waiver

In consideration for the acceptance of my registration, I acknowledge that all travel carries certain risks, that I am voluntarily undertaking this optional Benchmarking Visit to San Antonio, TX (along with my participation in all related recreational and educational activities), and that because I am responsible for my own well-being during the trip, I hereby release the Tampa Bay Chamber, and its officers, directors, agents, sponsors and employees from any and all liability, claims, costs, expenses or damages to property or injury or death to person. I have read and understand that this is a waiver and release of liability.

The Chamber reserves the right to advance, cancel, or postpone any scheduled event associated with the Benchmarking Visit, and shall have the right (but is not obligated) to substitute another event, but shall not be liable for any refund, loss or expense to the participant by reason of any such cancellation, advancement or postponement. No refund shall be made to any participant who fails to complete the visit for any reason.
