The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce is recruiting for its second cohort of the Minority Business Accelerator. This program helps Black and Hispanic business owners who are concerned with their lack of business growth and want to learn how to more effectively compete in the market. The MBA helps these businesses identify and overcome growth barriers, connect to corporate decision makers, and uncover potential funding opportunities. By providing practical tools for change, program participants are positioned to increase capacity, create jobs and build wealth.

The Community Information Session will be held on Thursday, June 28th, prior to the application period to allow business owners to learn more about the program before applying. Applications will be available at starting on Monday, July 2nd. The participants for the second cohort will be announced at the Chamber’s 133rd Annual Meeting on December 13th.

The Minority Business Accelerator kicked off on December 14, 2017 with the announcement of the first cohort at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting. The cohort includes the following companies: Chameleon Custom Solutions, Matcon Construction Services Inc., McKenzie Contracting LLC, Mid Florida Armored & ATM Services. All program participants will be available at the June 28th Information Session to answer questions and provide insight on their experience.
